About Abdul Wuraola
Abdul Wuraola has spent many years working closely with young people in both school and community settings, helping to nurture their personal development and athletic growth. One particularly rewarding success story is a student he began mentoring in Year 7 who, after overcoming early challenges, qualified as a teacher at the same school in 2024.
In the world of high-performance sport, Abdul has coached athletes at the highest level, including one who recently celebrated winning a seventh Olympic medal — a milestone that reflects the power of long-term development and mentorship.
Abdul also brings a wealth of elite experience to his coaching. He is a two-time Six Nations International Veteran Champion and a former No. 1 England National Veteran Champion, proudly representing England in major international table tennis championships. This unique blend of elite-level experience and grassroots commitment continues to shape his work in both educational and community programmes.
